Julia P. Sivertson
Julia graduated cum laude from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, where she earned a Certificate in Dispute Resolution and a designation of Public Service Fellow with Recognition. Her first career in the craft beer and spirits industry laid a foundation of experience as a professional and as a negotiator.
During law school, Julia gained practical experience as a mediator in small claims court and a legal intern for the Ohio Department of Commerce – Division of Liquor Control and the Entrepreneurial Business Law Clinic. She also worked with the Divided Community Project, assisting a team of conflict experts in training university staff and law enforcement to respond to community civil rights disputes. Julia studied family law, family & divorce mediation, and trial practice to prepare for a career as a domestic relations attorney.
Julia joined Babbitt & Dahlberg in January 2023 as an associate attorney. She has been involved in complex trial preparation, settlement negotiations, and drafting of arguments and agreements. She enjoys financial investigation and researching novel questions of law. A proud step-parent, Julia particularly values opportunities to help clients through the challenges they face as their families grow and change.
